Overview
An introduction to the study of climatology and climate change by exploring long-term temperature trends, key environmental concepts, and the effects of global warming on wildlife and the oceans. Participants examine humanity's responsibility to care for God's creation through Genesis 2:15 and Jeremiah 2:7, complete a practical environmental project, and participate in activities that promote environmental stewardship, education, and Christian responsibility for protecting the planet.

The most challenging requirement of this honor is probably this:
7. With your unit, participate in two of the following activities:
- a. Discuss the role of Christians in environmental preservation with young people your age. Write a summary of this for your church or conference website.
- b. Participate in a "Climate Fresk" workshop or an equivalent activity.
- c. Give a presentation on the Adventist Church's ecological initiatives and efforts to preserve the environment.
