6. Explore and apply basic web graphics skills:

a. Learn how web graphics can be made small enough to load quickly on websites.

b. Create and save the same image in three common web formats (like JPG, PNG, and GIF). Make sure each file is small enough to load quickly.


7. Build and maintain a functional website, alone or with a group (e.g. family, Pathfinder unit, church team) for three months, keeping it updated. The site should include at least four connected pages. It can be built using HTML, a website builder like Wix, WordPress, Google Sites, or similar.

Elements to include within the website:

  • Navigable Menu
  • Embedded Images (three properly used graphics formats)
  • Clickable links
  • Text in custom hex color (e.g. #0099CC)
  • Header and Footer
  • Responsive Design

The website should include:

  • Homepage – Say what the site is for, include at least one image.
  • Photo Gallery – Show real-life events or fun experiences from your group.
  • Contact Page – Include a contact form and email address.
  • Links Page – Share at least eight links to helpful or favorite websites (such as Adventist resources, Bible tools, or hobbies).
  • (Optional but encouraged) If the site represents a Pathfinder club or youth ministry, include a calendar of upcoming events.
